A friend of mine came over the other day and we got talking about something. And I was just wondering what everyone esle thought on this subject:
Which one is worse:
1. Someone who talks badly about you to others.
2. Someone who chimes in on such talk.
3. Or someone who doesn’t chime in, but doesn’t do anything about it either?
Back in October my hubby quit smoking because he had dental work done. He did slip (in front of me) about a month or so ago when we went out one night with friends and he started to smoke a cigarette, then went “blech” and put it out. A couple of weeks ago I found the wrapper to a pack in the garbage can (happened to be on top) and so I asked him what that was about and he said it must have been in his coat pocket from months ago. Hmmmmm! A few days after that, wouldn’t you know there was a receipt on the den floor and guess what was on it – a pack of cigarettes. How dumb does he think I am? He swears he smoked only one, hated the taste and then gave the pack to his crew. Not sure whether I believe him or not. I do in a way just because you can smell it on people that smoke and I haven’t smelled it in a long time. I’m hoping he’s not because since the dental work he’s lost so much weight and is really looking good.
On the subject of smoking, a friend of mine who quit smoking not too long ago too was talking about the smokeless ashtray and the electronic cigarette. I had no idea what either of them were. I’m guessing they’re pretty self explanatory – just not so sure about the electronic ciggy. What is that about?
