13 rants/or things running through my head
1. How do people talk so badly about others, to the point where you think “they cannot be friends with this person” but then turn around (in a sense), smile at the person they were just talking badly about and BE friends with that person? And as if they’ve never uttered a single bad word about them?
2. It’s only halfway through the soccer season and I’m already over our crazy schedule that we have 4 afternoons and one or both weekend days!
3. Three weeks until Christmas and I’m not even halfway done with what I need to get.
4. Good news about #3 – the people on my list who I need to buy for is very small.
5. More good news – list of people getting Christmas cards from us this year also dwindled down. (Need to do that financially and otherwise).
6. Working out is becoming such a habit for me that when I don’t workout, I can feel my skin start to crawl because I get annoyed with myself.
7. Between being away for Thanksgiving break and my mom coming back home with us (and us being out all day everyday this week and then up at the fields at night) my house is SUCH a mess and it’s driving me NUTS!!!!!!!!
8. I still can’t believe my youngest put an eraser in his ear yesterday at school (and we had to go to the clinic to have it removed) – he’ll be 8 this February!
9. Happy to be staying away from the drama up at the fields (and in other areas of my life) by not letting it enter my world.
10. Cannot wait for this week to be over – too much going on every day between school functions, sports functions, birthday parties (two) this weekend and just getting ready for the holidays in general.
11. Have the Christmas cards bought – still need to take the picture!!!! Wanted to do it Friday up at the fields after school and before birthday party #1 but they’re now calling for rain! UGH!!!!!!
12. We’ve got HUGE cockroaches in our house! So afraid I’m going to get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom and step on one!
13. SO wanting to get out of this house and out of this neighborhood!!!! Please tell me who in their right mind leaves their 4th grader in your backyard and goes shopping – WITHOUT TELLING YOU???????????

#1- Yes! My thoughts exactly! I have a friend who is very guilty of this…and every time she’s bashing someone else to me (I usually just say something like “I see” and sometimes, “well, we don’t know what was going on for her” or something) I wonder WHO she says mean things to about me!
and #12–also feel your pain! We had a roach problem in Okinawa and I was a total freak about it!

I’m so laughing at your son putting an eraser in his ear. My favorite spot to shove things into when I was a kid was my nose – why do kids do this????? LOL.
You know Scorpions eat cockroaches but the cure is worse than the problem there. . .

I’m seriously thinking of NOT sending ANY Christmas Cards this year…it’ll be the first time ever…I feel funny, but hey….with all the e cards and stuff at our beckoned call, why not make use of them? Great list.

Sounds like you need a big cup of hot chocolate! There’s always so much going on this time of year, it’s easy to get… well, frustrated! You’ve reminded me that I need to work on my Christmas cards though.
