We did have plans to go to Adventure Island today but we cancelled those. Tristan is exhausted from his week at soccer camp, plus his feet almost look like mine did after walking in the Breast Cancer 3 Day! They are full of blisters and sores and walking around a water park with those would not be fun! So we chose to stay home and rest! We’re all actually tired – I think it’s from going to USF to watch his soccer games every night and not getting home until 10 or so. I’m just happy to have him home!

We had a great day today. The kids and I went to Adventure Island with my brother and had SO many laughs! I think my daughter will never go in the wave pool again though. When we were floating around in there we happened to notice a girl with a HUGE snot running down her face. Which she wiped with the back of her hand and then put in the pool. About 5 minutes later I noticed what looked like a another huge snot floating towards us (which couldn’t have been from the girl since we all swam away from her as fast as we could). All of a sudden some kid swam right smack into it which at that point I think I gagged (I know my daughter did). At this point though I was hysterically laughing just because it was SO foul. (Foul things tend to make me laugh.) Plus, my brothers reaction to it all was just too funny (along with my poor daughter). So we all decided we’d had enough and left the wave pool (that plus the fact we started thinking of all the water we’d been in during the day and what else besides snot could be floating in it – if you notice, when you walk out of these water slides it leaves you with a slimy film all over your body – LOL). And I’m not quite sure if my daughter will ever go back in. Luckily we had left the wave pool for the last thing to do since it doesn’t have a line you have to stand in and we could now leave AI.

After AI we went to my brothers house where the kids swam in his (snot free) pool for another 2-3 hours. Then it was time for dinner so we met Sean and Syndi at Beef O’Bradys (where Tuesday nights kids eat free) for dinner (where I happily ran into two good soccer friends).

Besides the snot, (to which I still gag just thinking about) we really did have a fun day!

I went on a serious cleaning/decluttering frenzy this morning. The guys are coming to install our new ceramic tile bathroom floors next Thursday and Friday. So that means cleaning out my linen closet in our bathroom so they can get to the floor and also making our clothes closet look somewhat decent. So I tackled that this morning and got rid of so much stuff and also have a pile to put on Ebay, Craigs List and Freecycle.

The kids played at the neighbors house most of the day and around 5:30 we left to meet another family at the bowling alley. And it was SO much fun. I absolutely adore this entire family!!!! She is just one of my best friends – we’re always on the same wavelength and could probably finish each others sentences – and it goes without saying we always have a blast whenever we’re together!!!! Her hubby is just a nice, down to earth good guy. Easy to talk to – doesn’t put on any fronts and makes me laugh!!!! Their son is so brilliant and cute I could just hug him all day long – but I’m afraid he’d get creeped out with that. And their daughter – I could just eat her up and squeeze her cheeks forever! Sean was in love with her as soon as he saw her and held her for a good part of the night. I wanted to hold her so badly but when I’m drinking, I tend to get scared of holding someone else’s baby. Next time though I’ll cuddle her like crazy!

It was decided tonight that we need to have family outings with this family once a month! Both families have season passes to Busch Gardens, Adventure Island and Sea World so we could do that. There’s also one of the many beautiful beaches we could go to. Bowling is a definite most do again. Chuck E Cheese could be in the cards. Can’t forget about Honeys!!!!!! Many possibilities!!! And I look forward to them all!!!
