Cannot believe she’s 10 and now in double digits!!!!! She will always be the 2 year old little girl walking around in her footie pj’s with the binkie in her mouth saying to me (when I’m telling her dinosaurs will get me) “I save you mommy” and running up and giving me a huge hug!!!!!

I LOVE YOU MY ANGEL!!!!!!!!!

Happy 12th Birthday Tristan! I remember this day 12 years ago like it was yesterday – which makes me not able to believe it’s now 12 years later!!!! My sweet cheeks – my peanut – how is it possible? Although, like he had to remind me the other night – in 3 years he’ll be old enough to get his drivers learners permit (it’s 15 here in FL). But is so not happening – that is way too young!
We are off soon for his final soccer game of their regular season. Then he’s having a few friends here tonight to spend the night.
Happy Birthday my little man! You bring something new to my life everyday and make me laugh all the time. I love learning alongside you. You have taught me love, life and happiness! (along with some craziness)
I LOVE YOU!!!!!!

My dad turns 65 today!!!! He’ll be here tomorrow with my mom and they are spending the weekend with us to celebrate both his and my birthday! We’re going to dinner Saturday night somewhere – not sure where yet. We got him a GC to the movies – don’t know what to get a guy that already has it all.
Happy Birthday Dad!!!! I love you!!!!!!

was a HUGE success! All but two kids who were invited showed up, but we still had 18 there! (Good soccer friends of ours from Caelie’s team came last minute.) The kids had a blast! And most of the parents (the ones we know well from his soccer team) stayed as well and had fun. First they all bowled, then played a game of laser tag and then went off to the arcade to play. Tristan had a great night!!!! When it came time to pick teams for laser tag he had 5 boys fighting over who was his best friend.

We celebrated his birthday on his actual birthday which was Friday with my parents and my brother. (We had his party on Saturday.) From us he got a Nintendo DS and a game for that. My brother is getting him a PlayStation game and my parents got him a Baby Martin Guitar! He wasn’t expecting the guitar at all and you can tell in the first picture below by the look on his face.

In this next picture you’ll see my dad teaching Tristan the basic chords on the guitar using papers he made up for me when I was in 3rd grade! (My dad taught me how to play the guitar from 3rd grade up and I kept all the papers he wrote out for me – great memories they are!!!!) I’m hoping to relearn the guitar myself so I can then teach Tristan!!!!
