How sad is it when it’s Friday and you long for Monday just because your weekend is going to be insane???
That’s how it’s been for us for a long time now. The past 3 weekends Caelie’s soccer team has been in tournaments…. weekends before that were filled with games on Saturdays and/or Sundays for soccer – we just haven’t had a break in a while and we need one!
This weekend the younger 2 and I have Odyssey of the Mind all day tomorrow (and when I say all day I mean alllllll day). Have to be there around 7:30 for check-in at 8. Then it’s all about sitting around and waiting for both kids teams to perform 2 different things – each only lasting about 10-15 minutes! Then the award ceremony starts at 6. And of course parking is INSANE! So even if you have a 2 hour time span where you can leave, you don’t want to just because of that!
Don’t get me wrong – it’s a GREAT thing for the kids to do – makes them think outside the box. And Caelie and Kieran’s team went to States last year. This year though they are at different schools so therefore on different teams.
While we are at OM, Sean is 30 minutes south with his girls soccer team for the Region C Round of 16 Tournament. Wishing them good luck!
Then Sunday, Tristan is reffing 4 games back to back (from 10:30-4:30) at a local soccer tournament. Also, my parents get back into town after being on a week long cruise…..and it’s Sean’s 44th Birthday that day so I’ll be cooking and making Shepherd’s Pie.
Just want a weekend where we have nothing planned!!!!!!
For his 10th birthday this past Monday, we got Kieran a motorized scooter. Kieran – the boy that trips over his own 2 feet and walks into walls. LOL I warned all 3 kids if I catch any of them on it without a helmet on their heads they will lose everything for months! Wish us luck!
Sean’s 43rd birthday with the family, Guinness and Shepherd’s Pie!
Happy 9th Birthday Kieran! MUCH to my dismay he is a Rays fan. He’s young yet – has much to learn still.
One of Tristan’s birthday gift’s. She’s a bit scared right now and hides under her wheel.
The age my oldest is turning this coming Sunday. I refuse to believe it!
Cannot believe she’s 10 and now in double digits!!!!! She will always be the 2 year old little girl walking around in her footie pj’s with the binkie in her mouth saying to me (when I’m telling her dinosaurs will get me) “I save you mommy” and running up and giving me a huge hug!!!!!
I LOVE YOU MY ANGEL!!!!!!!!!
Happy 12th Birthday Tristan! I remember this day 12 years ago like it was yesterday – which makes me not able to believe it’s now 12 years later!!!! My sweet cheeks – my peanut – how is it possible? Although, like he had to remind me the other night – in 3 years he’ll be old enough to get his drivers learners permit (it’s 15 here in FL). But is so not happening – that is way too young!
We are off soon for his final soccer game of their regular season. Then he’s having a few friends here tonight to spend the night.
Happy Birthday my little man! You bring something new to my life everyday and make me laugh all the time. I love learning alongside you. You have taught me love, life and happiness! (along with some craziness)
I LOVE YOU!!!!!!
My dad turns 65 today!!!! He’ll be here tomorrow with my mom and they are spending the weekend with us to celebrate both his and my birthday! We’re going to dinner Saturday night somewhere – not sure where yet. We got him a GC to the movies – don’t know what to get a guy that already has it all.
Happy Birthday Dad!!!! I love you!!!!!!
