My Thirty-One Gifts party was a success last night. Plus it was fun. AND, both my friend and I booked a party together! She’ll be selling her Thirty-One Gifts merchandise and I’ll be selling my Cookie Lee jewelry!!! I’m very grateful to my friend for hosting this!!! (As I was grateful this past Friday for another friend hosting one as well!) And with my hostess gifts from last nights party, I’m getting Caelie’s birthday gift for her bday in August AND my MIL’s bday gift for her bday in October! I think at the next Thirty-One party I go to (which I had 3 friends book shows last night so I’ll have 3 to go to in the next few months) I might even start some Christmas shopping!
The last person left around 11 or so last night and then Sean and I stayed up talking on the back porch until 2:30am. I am beat today and look forward to having nowhere to go and nothing that HAS to be done!

Last night was a huge success and I made close to $700 in sales!!!! I get close to half of that (some of the jewelry I sold was my bosses/friends so I owe her for that but still reap the rewards!) Not bad for 3 hours of work! Plus it was fun! There were about 16 women there – and luckily I knew 4 or 5. As soon as they started arriving my nerves went away. I didn’t book anymore shows, but there are a few who said once the new catalog comes out in August to let them know and they might have one then. Woohoo!
Looking forward to tonight and the Thirty-One show I’m hosting here for a friend. Can’t wait to just chill with friends.

I’m so nervous about tonight. I don’t know why. Selling Cookie Lee is SO easy – it’s not like other home shows where you have to stand up in front of people and do a presentation. I’m still nervous though. I think it’s because even though I’m gong to a good friends house, I still won’t know everyone. Plus, my “boss” who was supposed to come and help if I needed it can’t now so I’m on my own. Wish me luck!

for at least a month or so. We had the boys soccer meetings last night for their competitive soccer teams. And I ended up volunteering yet again. I wasn’t going to – after last weekend I needed a serious break, but at lunch yesterday a friend told me how they were going to be short help so I went and helped from 6-9:30. We have Caelie’s soccer meeting tonight but I’m not going. I’ve got a ton of stuff to get done for this weekend – I’ve got a Cookie Lee show that I’ll be doing on Friday night at a friends house and then I’m hosting a Thirty-One Gifts party here on Saturday night. Plus, the Verizon guy is coming tonight because we lost our phone Tuesday. We had a really bad thunder storm and since then our phone’s been dead. They say they’ll be here today between 3 and 6. Love it when they do that! It’s 4:40 now and they’re still not here.

and then it all went to shit when Sean came home tonight from a soccer coaches meeting.
The day started off very good. I got some shopping done and then met one of my favorite soccer moms for lunch at Cosi Cafe. (LOVE that place!!!)
I also sent out an email to all of my friends trying to get my Cookie Lee career going. And it worked! One of my soccer buds is hosting a show for me June 5th and Syndi, my brothers gf is going to host one for me as well in July. So I was pretty psyched all day.
But then Sean came home from the coaches meeting with some not so great news. 1st that he’s most likely going to be coaching Kieran’s age group and 2nd that Tristan’s coach is from this past season is returning again. As soon as Tristan heard this he got all upset and was adamant that he wasn’t trying out. So, because I hate seeing someone stand in the way of Tristan doing something he loves I had a long talk with him. I told him that throughout life there’s always going to be people that you’re not fond of. (Which outside of soccer we all love this guy – it’s just that there are 4 kids on the team that seriously don’t want to play for him anymore – it’s sad – but what are you going to do?) And I explained to him that you can’t let these people stand in your way of doing what you love. I also reminded him, if he doesn’t try out and then the following week decides he THEN wants to be on the team – it’s too late – the team will be picked next Saturday at the final tryouts. So, he’s trying out and I’m very proud of him.

is how I’m feeling tonight. Tristan’s end of season was party was great and everyone had a blast. But it just seemed like it was the end of an era. Not sure if it’s because it’s possible we’ll be losing a coach and a player or what it is actually. But I got home tonight and felt sad. Even though we all had alot of laughs this afternoon.
We got to the party around 12:30 and just got home around 8pm. The boys got their trophies and got to swim and play. I even got an awesome gift as well from the team for being the Team Manager the past 2 years (something I’m not so sure I’ll be doing again next year). I got a gorgeous marble plague that says “Thank you for your time and dedication to the U11 Boys (insert soccer club name) 2008-2009″. I wasn’t expecting anything so it was a nice surprise.
Tristan is sleeping over their tonite along with 4 other teammates. They’re going to have a blast I’m sure. AND I sold some of my jewelry tonight as well – $200 worth!!!! Woohoo!!!!!
Kieran and Caelie are having their own little sleep over in Kieran’s room so I think Sean and I are going to hang out o the back porch and watch the thunder storms roll in.

It’s been raining all day today since about 8am this morning and it’s lovely!!!! We need this rain so badly. The unlovely part was the weather this morning at 9am when the kids were getting on the bus. We had a tornado touch down in our town not too far from here and I’m guessing the time it touched down was the time we were at the bus stop and garbage cans were literally flying by my car (BIG garbage cans too). It got really scary here for a while. I came home from getting the kids on the bus (which next time I’m just driving them to school if it’s ever like that again) and I could hear my dog howling as I got out of my car - even with the wind and thunder outside.
It was one of those days you’d love to curl up on a couch with coffee, a blankie and a good book. But, I had plans. Good plans though (had they not been good ones I would have canceled for sure). I was going to go and run errands after the kids left for school but because of the weather I decided against that. I did go out and have lunch with my friends though. There were 6 of us and we had a blast – as always. I love these ladies!!!! They’re so laid back, down to earth, tell you like it is. Most of the time we talked about soccer – of course. But we talked about other stuff too like Cookie Lee (of course, since my boss and fellow teammate/co-worker were there). My other friend just signed up to sell a new product called Thirty-One (I think) and we talked about that. I’m going to have a party for her here to help get her going. That’s always the hard part when selling stuff like this – getting started so I’m going to help her out. I know that if she didn’t JUST have a Cookie Lee party a month or so ago she’d help me out and have one too. I think next time we meet they’re all going to come here for lunch – cheaper and more relaxed.
Right now I’m waiting for the phone call from Tristan’s coach saying practice is cancelled for tonight. Sean is pretty sure he’s canceling Caelie’s team practice. The fields have to be a mess and it’s still raining and very windy out there right now. Fingers crossed! It’s one of those nights where you don’t wanna go anywhere!!!

I’m outa here in a few minutes to go and meet my new boss and my co-worker for lunch so we can close out my show from Friday night. I’ll get to learn the ropes so to speak and then after today will be able to order my own stuff all online. I’m psyched!!!!
I’m also psyched about this new job. The party Friday night was so much fun and so easy. It’s not like other shows where you get up in front of everyone and do a 1-2 hour schpiel. All you do is put the jewelry out and take the orders. It basically sells itself!
Now I just need a few people to host a show for me to get it going even more. I have two friends who will possibly do one and I’m thinking Caelie’s team may want to do a fundraiser too so we’ll see.
I’m really psyched about this though! And in the next few weeks I plan on getting my own website up and running so friends can buy the stuff right online.

is how I’m feeling and how our weekend has been.
Friday was a success as a team fundraiser and as my “kick off” party. I’m not sure how much I have personally made from it being that I’m now a Cookie Lee Consultant, but so far the team has $150. So that’s cool. There were about 15 kids here at one point having a blast playing outside, or Wii or PlayStation. I had a blast hanging out with my soccer buds. Three different families stayed until about 12:30 or so. I have to comment though on how UNclassy my neighbors are. I had one come (who lives with our neighbor next door just as a roommate) with her girlfriend and they maybe glanced at the jewelry as they walked by the table into the kitchen. They then proceeded for the rest of the night to come in, get beer and food and take both back to their house. This happened at least 3 times. NICE! So we’re good enough to come and get beer and food from but not good enough to hang with. I have no problem that they didn’t buy anything. But what they did was rude. I had another neighbor come and buy stuff and hang for a little. But then she left to hang with the two girls and started doing the same thing – only sending her husband in to get her drinks. Not to mention the fact they have a 3 year old daughter who is sadly allowed to roam the neighborhood by herself! She was constantly in and out of my front door even though her parents were no longer here. Sean must have brought her over to them at least twice. They could care less. Then, around 11:30 they come in asking if we know where she is. WOW!!! There are some people out there that just should not have kids! When this poor little girl gets abducted one day they’ll sit there and shrug their shoulders wondering how it happened. At least though I now know who NOT to invite anymore and who we are no longer hanging out with. (And whose kid which is here every other weekend I will no longer be “watching” or having hang here because part time daddy doesn’t feel like dealing with him.)
Yesterday was one of the most relaxing days we’ve had in a long time. I stayed in my PJ’s allllll day and loved it. It was so nice to have a weekend where my alarm wasn’t going off at 5 or 6am for us to be at the fields. I can’t remember the last weekend we’ve had open. Funny though – guess what was on TV all day – soccer! We even watched USA play El Salvador last night in the World Cup Qualifiers. I have to say I was not impressed with the way El Salvador played at all. If I had wanted to watch bad acting I would have watched a Keanu Reeves movie. I wanted to watch soccer and at least the US team gave me that. ES was leading the game 2-0 and in the last 10 minutes of the game we came back to tie it. And in the last 20 minutes of the game, the ES players would fall and pretend to be hurt so they could waste time (they’d do this even when the ball was no where near them). SAD!!!!!!! GO USA!!!!
Right now it’s 1:25 and I’m still in my PJ’s. Sean and the kids played Wii all morning while I watched. I have a few phone calls to make, but other then that it’s another PJ/do nothing day!!!!!
