So I started a new venture the past few weeks – making glass pendants and earrings. I’ve made some for friends for their birthdays or just because (and also in hopes when they wear them, if anyone asks questions as to where they got it they direct them to me). I love making them and there are so many possibilities. I’ve started a store on Etsy, just haven’t added anything to it. And I’ve bought a new domain (with a cute, catchy name – at least I think so) but haven’t been able to figure it out yet. It’s going to take me a few days to figure that one out.
What I did do though to get started, besides giving them out as gifts, I made some and put the pictures on Facebook. Since putting them on Facebook I’ve gotten 2 orders. And last Friday when I gave a friend one for passing her nursing test, someone I don’t know who was there got my email address so she could order one as well. And I’ve sold 3 pairs of the earrings!
I’m excited about this because not only are there so many possibilities between word of mouth, Twitter, Facebook and online – but also up at the soccer fields – I have a feeling they will be a huge hit up there once the season starts up again in July!

My mom was here this past weekend and because my old dollhouse (which my dad made – plans and all) is getting “refurbished” by my dad and will be going in her room next week, we decided her room needed to be decluttered and rearranged. So we did that all day Saturday and it took about 4 hours! But we got rid of so much stuff! Some of it had to be thrown out but alot of it is going to a place up by my mom where she volunteers that gives out stuff for free for people in need (clothes, toys, food, etc). It felt so good to do that to her room! I seriously need to do that to every room in this house!!!
I did “spring clean” my online world yesterday. Caelie was home sick so I took that opportunity of being home all day and decluttered my online life! I started with Twitter and got rid of people who either weren’t following me or were constantly spewing out spam and crap in general! Then I went to Facebook and again, got rid of people who I was “friends” with – people who since becoming “friends” with on FB that I never talked with, met up with or weren’t even friends in high-school with so it’s kind of like “why am I bothering now?” I went from about 186 to 140 something. I bet I could go back again and get rid of even more today. After Facebook I redid my Google Reader yet again. And then it was time for the hard stuff – my email in-boxes! My Gmail account had 700+ in it! All read of course but stuff I had kept “just in case”. I am happy to say I am now down to 115! And hoping to keep it that way! Same with my yahoo account – I had close to 200 and am now down to like 5.
Hoping to “spring clean” and declutter the kitchen next week and then work on decluttering and organizing one of our 3 computers! now THAT’S going to be an ordeal!

I cannot wait for the kids Christmas break to start so that this whirl wind that our lives has become settles down a bit. This whole “something going on 4 nights a week” plus 1 sometimes 2 days a weekend is starting to get to me. And I know once school starts back up again so does our crazy schedule, but I’m seriously looking forward to the 2 1/2 week break we get. The kids are off from school starting the Wednesday before Christmas and then don’t go back until January 11th! Yay!
I’m looking forward to not having to get up early to an alarm clock and not having to be up at the fields for sports! I’m also looking forward to hanging out with friends during the break – friends from all 3 kids soccer teams (their friends and now mine – LOL) and family. And I’m looking forward to doing whatever – whenever!
I’ve been exhausted lately and I think I know why. I’m not eating right. I’m not getting any sleep at night and working out alot – but my bad eating habits (as in not eating breakfast and then eating something small for lunch and dinner) are catching up to me. I’m not getting enough vitamins in my diet – no veggies and no fruit. So, starting next week I’m going to try my hardest to incorporate both of those into what I eat. I LOVE salads and I love trying new ones so it shouldn’t be too hard. And I’ve even started taking a vitamin (but why is it whenever I do start taking vitamins I get sick?????)
Everything in life is going smoothly and we’re all happy. Life is good – all but one thing – to get rid of Facebook or not to. Always the dilemma for me. You’d think once you got rid of someone (the person causing you pain) on there all would be good. Not! Oh well, if that’s all I have to complain about though – I really shouldn’t be complaining.

First of all, Happy Father’s Day to all you dad’s out there!! Hope you have a great day!!!!
Second, today was definitely an emotional one since we dropped Tristan off at the USF campus for his very first residential (sleep away) soccer camp! He’ll be there for 5 days/4 nights and I am still a nervous wreck. Luckily, he’s rooming with one of his friends/teammates and another friend/teammate is right across the hall from him with his older brother. Plus, there are a bunch of other kids he knows from our soccer club. So I know he’ll be okay. It’s just his 1st time away like this.
We got there around 1:30 and checked him in. Got to the dorms and he’s actually in a suite with his own bathroom/shower – yay! And they’ve got 6 other suite mates. We met the parents of the kids next door to them in their suite and they seemed really nice. At 3:30 was an orientation and then we left. I gave him a huge hug and kiss and let him walk back to his dorm (that sounds so weird!!!). And I was actually doing okay. But just as we were getting back to our car he texted both Sean’s cell and my cell with one word that did me in – “Bye”. I lost it then.
That morning I had posted on my Facebook status something about Tristan and me being a nervous wreck, etc. A friend of my moms who is a friend on my FB account wrote something like “think of this as one of many firsts. There will be many more drop offs for camps and then soon college”. THANKS FOR THAT!!!!!! I’ve still got many years before that one. Don’t even get me thinking of that because I tear up right away!
He called tonight about 10 (on Sean’s cell phone not mine
) and he sounds like he’s having a blast! They had a training session which was also an evaluation and being he’s there for goal keeper training, there’s only 6 of them in his group so he’ll have alot of one on one training which is even better. His trainer for the week will be Bryheem Hancock who is the goal keeper coach for the USF mens soccer team. That’s awesome!

That’s what I’ve been doing today. My mom and Kieran left this morning to go back to Jacksonville – this week is Kieran’s week to spend some alone time with Nana and Pop. He was so excited to be first this summer.
Then after they left it’s been catch up for me ever since. Catch up on laundry, catch up on bills, catch up on emails (which I had 600 to go through and am now done to 300 something), catch up on FB emails (which I always forget about), catch up on phone calls and catch up on this blog. Tristan and Caelie have been outside playing with the neighborhood kids since 12 so I’ve been getting alot done which is good considering the rest of the week is another crazy, haywire one!

The kitchen is finally put back together and it looks awesome. I washed/bleached all of the cabinet doors and they look almost brand new. The curtains are hung, the rugs are down – it just looks great! I love it!!!!
It’s now gotten me in the mood for spring cleaning. Next week I’m going to clean the cabinets inside, clean out the area that has the washing machine and dryer and clean the oven. Then the kitchen will be completely done!
Speaking of spring cleaning, I did a bit of that on my Facebook account today. I’d been waiting for some to give me a reason to “unfriend” them and I got that reason this morning so it was ba-bye! I’m not sure why I kept some on since I don’t talk to them or see them anymore and have no plans in the future to do either anyway.

I’m having so much fun on Facebook today! Not only have I found more people I grew up with or went to college with, but I just added some old pics of myself and some friends on there as well and it’s giving me a laugh as to some of the comments being made. I can’t wait until the rest of the people I tagged see the pics.
